Coaching
A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, or RDN, will partner with you to develop realistic and sustainable health goals that you can stick with for the long haul. The RDN will guide and motivate you with evidence-based strategies to help you with meal planning, grocery shopping and mindful eating. The RDN will provide medical nutrition therapy, also called MNT, which includes a nutrition diagnosis as well as therapeutic and counseling services to help you.
Research shows that meeting regularly with an RDN helps manage weight, improves cholesterol levels, decreases the need for medicines and reduces risk for other diseases.
The initial visit with a RDN takes approximately one hour. After the first session, the RDN will schedule follow-up appointments to check on your progress and see if changes are needed in your nutrition goals and treatment plan.

Coaching
Hiyeeeee. Your baby is new to this, and you may be too. You need a kind, compassionate, real-life, guilt free lactation expert to help navigate through your lactation goals, needs, roadblocks, challenges, etc.
An International Board Certified Lactaion Consultant (IBCLC) will partner with you to develop realistic and sustainable lactation goals that you can stick with for the long haul. The IBCLC will guide and motivate you with evidence-based strategies to help you with your lactation goals, challenges, problems, support and confidence.
Research shows that meeting regularly with an expert in lactation increases your chance of having a successful lactation experience. You are more likely to continue lactating if you obtain support from a IBCLC or CLS than from a professional such as a labor & delivery nurse, OB/GYN, Midwife, Doula, or Pediatrician.

VISIT

Prenatal Lactation Visit
This visit is a deep dive that teaches the essentials to be successful with breastfeeding. You will learn everything you need to know to get off to a good start. You will have hands on learning by practicing to latch and position a baby with a breastfeeding doll. I also provide a list of breastfeeding must-haves to add to your baby registry. This is your chance to prepare and ask questions before the baby’s arrival.
Visit Duration: 60 minutes

Follow-Up Lactation Visit
Sometimes additional visits are needed to address new concerns, re-evaluate previous issues, or monitor your baby’s growth. We will revisit your breastfeeding plan to make adjustments as needed. The visit will include a weight check of the baby, assessment and observation of a full feeding or pumping session and address any questions or concerns.
Visit Duration: 45-60 minutes

Postnatal Lactation Visit
This visit will include an in-depth assessment of the mother and baby’s health history and delivery including an assessment of mother’s breast, evaluation of the baby’s sucking, muscle tone, and tongue function, assessing and observing a complete infant feed at breast or bottle, and address any questions or concerns. A personalized plan of care will be provided with an open door to reach out for any further help.
Visit Duration: 60-90 minutes

Pumping and Storing Milk
This visit you will understand how to use your pump, have a flange fitting, learn about collecting and storage of milk. You will learn when to pump, how long to pump, and how often. This is beneficial for those at risk for pre-term delivery, returning to work, planning travel, or even for the occasional mother/baby separation time. We will go over any questions or concerns you many have.
Visit Duration: 45-60 minutes
New moms or moms struggling with breastfeeding, I cannot recommend Erica enough. I had seen 4 other lactation consultants before her, and she was the first person to look in Link’s mouth for ties rather than blaming me for all our issues. She was knowledgeable and really helped me to understand everything. She checked in every so often to make sure we were doing well. I highly recommend her if you are struggling.
Erica at Willa Nutrition was so helpful to me during my breastfeeding journey. Erica is knowledgeable, kind and understanding. She has children of her own, so she is realistic when it comes to goals for breastfeeding- she has both hands-on experience and educational training. She will work with you to determine your goals and help you achieve them. Erica is kind and accepting of all. I highly recommend her services
I saw two lactation consultants, our pediatrician, and not a single one of them looked in her mouth for issues! 10 minutes with Erica and she found her oral ties. She’s encouraging, positive, and puts your goals for feeding at the fore front. She checks on you as a human (outside of mommying) and makes sure you are okay and feeling confident. I cannot recommend her enough! I already send all of my friends to her
